Mac Rumors: iPhone as a Widescreen iPod + Wifi without Contract?

So, in case you hadn’t heard, Apple and/or AT&T were requiring people to have phone service in order to use the iPod features on the new iPhone. Apparently, people are figuring out ways around that after just 3 days in the wild. (I wonder if Apple will push a “fix” via iTunes to stop people from doing it.)
